Simon and Sally are not only the owners and creators of an incredibly beautiful home and guest suites, but some of the warmest, most hospitable people you could hope to meet. We were made to feel welcome from the moment we arrived right through to departure with every need cared for, including gluten free options for breakfast which was incredibly considerate. What an incredible stay! From the moment we arrived at The Court House we were made to feel totally at home. The building, design and decor are beautiful and every detail has been considered in the bedrooms in terms of comfort and needs (from the most comfortable bed imaginable to the luxury toiletries in the bathroom!) As for the hosts you couldn’t hope to meet a nicer couple, Simon and Sal are warm, friendly and extremely helpful. They organised taxis for us to and from the wedding we were attending as well and cooking us a truly delicious breakfast the next morning. The environment is extremely relaxed and chatting over breakfast felt like enjoying a meal with old friends! We would highly recommend The Court House and will be staying again soon.

We are four friends and the top floor of this beautiful house, contrasting beautifully the old with the new, was perfect for a relaxing weekend away. Sally and Simon are charming, welcoming hosts who have created a wonderful space that we felt very lucky to be able to enjoy for such a reasonable price. It was tucked away in a pretty quiet street but at the same time close to the theatre, shops and many wonderful bars and restaurants. We want to keep it a secret really so it won’t be booked when we want to come again!

It was a fantastic experience staying at Simon and Sal’s incredible home. There is no detail that has been overlooked in what was a terrific room. I wish I had a wet room in my flat! Also after a very comfortabe sleep, my girlfriend has her heart set on buying a ‘Tempur’ mattress now too… We were both hugely impressed by the generosity and kindness we were shown by Simon and Sal. The house is beautiful and we felt very much at easy staying there, thanks to Simon and Sal’s friendly nature and wonderful hospitality. The location is superb and makes exploring Shrewsbury very easy. From the start of the booking process to the moment we bid farewell, our hosts were excellent communicators and we would love to return in the future. The Court House is a perfect place to stay in Shrewsbury. The setting is wonderful, the location about as convenient as possible and the hosts first rate. For those interested in design and architecture the building represents a perfect fusion of old and new and the garden an oasis of peace and tranquillity. It’s awesome to stay with Simon and Sally. They are pretty nice and welcoming. They have a nice kitchen, and you can help yourself to the breakfast. The garden is so lovely that you can enjoy the warm sunshine. If I back to Shrewsbury again, they will be my first choice.

We had a perfect stay with Simon in Shrewsbury! The house is absolutely beautiful (even the great pictures don’t do it justice) and Simon was an amazingly accommodating host. He was really flexible with our arrival / leaving times and he catered for our every need! He offered us a glass of wine before leaving for the wedding we were attending, provided us with bottles of water on our arrival home (rather worse for wear) and in the morning offered us tea, coffee, juice, croissants and ended up cooking us bacon sandwiches! I couldn’t recommend staying here enough – a nicer experience and much better value than any of the local hotels. We will be looking for any excuse to return!

The Courthouse feels like a cozy boutique hotel in the heart of Shrewsbury. Our room was beautifully designed with contemporary wallpaper and furnishings, a modern spa-like bathroom and stunning architectural details. Hosts Simon and Sally were incredibly warm and hospitable – they were happy to give us a tour of the house and the beautiful garden, and even sat and chatted with us over a glass of wine in the evening. The venue features private parking, Wi-Fi, breakfast essentials and lovely coffee. Just across the river and a short walk from the high street in Shrewsbury, it’s a quiet yet convenient location. I’ve stayed in numerous hotels in town and this is an ideal spot for those who are looking for something a little different – architectural and design buffs will love it! Will definitely be back soon and will recommend to friends and family staying in Shrewsbury.

The house is amazing and a real credit to Simons building skills and Sally’s interior design……..but as with most enjoyable experiences in life it’s not the bricks and mortar that make this place so special…..it’s people!!!……..and in these two you will not find better hosts, we are certainly returning soon! As for the town itself, interesting shops, fine dining and pretty walks within walking distance. All in all a 5 star experience 🙂
